Breaking News- CPAI thinks USW is hard to work with...hahaha.

Breaking news!  ConocoPhillips says USW is difficult to work with, shocking isn’t it? That’s like asking a medieval warlord what their opinion is of castles.

You- “Do you like castles?”

Warlord-  “I hate them, they make things difficult.”

You- “ Well dear warlord, can you elaborate a little bit more, it seems like castles would provide a lot of defense.”

Warlord-  “Yeah!  That's the problem!  Every time I want to go slaughter villagers they run into that damn castle-  it's horrible!”

Yeah, ConocoPhillips doesn’t think USW is easy to work with, shocking.  But they also just told ADN, “We believe that we can best meet the needs of our employees through a direct relationship, as it allows us to quickly and efficiently collaborate with and gather feedback from our employees and provides for a workplace where everyone feels supported, heard, and valued.”  LOL

Remember that this “Direct Relationship” is what just led to employees getting laid off, specifically employees who ‘happened’ to voice their concerns about pay and benefit changes last year.

Ask yourself-  Do you feel supported, heard and valued right now? Did they take your concerns into account when they scrapped your 3x3 schedule or changed your start time?  Did they value your input when you explained how difficult it is to cover 7 drillsites at once?  Have they supported you by getting HR to explain the time sheet changes? Have they even bothered to make HR answer your emails?  They SAY they care about your voice, but do they SHOW it?  The only reason they want a “Direct Relationship” is so they can abuse you at their will- they don’t want you to have a castle to protect you, they hate castles.  Hardly breaking news is it?
