I am retired Kuparuk COP employee of 24 years and have been watching with interest the union drive. I believe Dustin Every produced a very clear argument for going union. I know I would if I was still employed.
I will say that when I started in the 80’s supervisors were guys who were one of us who worked their way up. They had credibility. Not all were decent but many were. By the time I neared retirement supervision was squishy and weak. Not all but many were that way. My last supervisor was a waste of skin from Texas. Nothing against Texas.
I will say that the most important thing on the slope are the people you work with,…
