Check your mail box!

Ballots are just starting to trickle into mail boxes in the far reaches of Alaska.  Don’t panic if you haven’t received one yet, but you should be looking for it any day now if you live outside of Anchorage. Please carefully read the instructions before completing the ballot.  Complete and submit the ballot IMMEDIATELY, ballots have to be RECEIVED in Seattle by Feb 9th to count- not submitted, received.  And given that it’s taking the damn mail 2 weeks to get here you can pretty much assure it will take two weeks to get back.  If you do not have a ballot in hand by 1/14 (next Wednesday) I strongly suggest you reach out to the NLRB field office in Seattle to see what can be done.  Call them @ 206–220-6300 or email lily.fried@nlrb.gov.

Talk with your friends, make sure they’ve submitted their ballots, bug them, then bug them again, we need everyone in this fight.  COP is playing nice right now but remember: they are just playing, they want nothing more than to cut your wages by at least 20%, scrap your holiday pay, replace you with contract labor and drive their profit margin up.  They’re only being nice so we’ll drop our guard and let them screw us.  This ballot is the first roar of your voice, let’s be sure they hear us.

The junk mail is important

No really!  We're serious, the junk mail the company is sending to your house is very, very important. You should have received 3-5 stupid flyers at your house that look like the posters around camp.
