Kuparuk/Alpine & Willow numbers are in....

Updated! It's official, we're a union. The Kuparuk/Alpine vote was something like 75% YES union, same with Willow.

So it's all cupcakes and roses from now on right? Right? NO. We'll have our work cut out for us- for one - management is going to be a bunch of bitter dicks- not all of them but there will be bosses that take it personally- unfortunately there is nothing we can do about that- the fouls that started this mess (Ed, Pat, HR Lady and others) have already taken their promotions and moved on with life. We just need to do the best we can to have a good working relationship with our current bosses- both now and after our CBA is finalized.

So that brings us to the CBA- we've got our work cut out for us- we need to work out our priorities, form bargaining committees, elect our local representatives.... all sorts of stuff, and we'll get to that...but not today... today- just know that we should ALL be extremely proud of each other- we stood up to a company that made a spectacle out of smashing employee opposition and that took some real guts from each and everyone of us. I am very proud that you are my coworkers. Thank you, and congratulations. More to come.
