We Stand United As One-

The question was asked "Just to clarify, this movement would be all NS hourly company employees, not just ops? As it seems management has continued to segregate ops and maint creating a greater divide alignment between crafts in this cause. Mushroom farm tactics...."

Mushroom farm tactics as in "keep them in the dark and feed them shit"? Yes, that certainty what management is trying.

But to answer your question: YES this movement is for ALL hourly employees that are directly employed by CP, both K and A. Without a doubt there's going to be some 'hashing things out' to determine if we're a single north slope bargaining unit or 2, as in are we CP "north slope" or CP "A" and CP "K".... We don't know those answers yet- that's one of the many things we're working on. However, as far as the Ops/Maint divide goes- there is strong prior precedent that ops/maint within a field would be represented by a single collective bargaining agreement.

I hope that answers your question, if not, email us at info@UnionOnTheNorthSlope.org and we can dig deeper into it.

As an aside- in the next day or two we'll get another 'submission form' posted on the site so you can get questions/comments to us without voting. And hopefully a discussion forum board sometime soon after that.

Check back often- we're posting announcements and info as best we can- if you'd like to get more involved, if you want to 'carry your regiment's banner' so to speak, email us, we'd love your help, there is no better advocate for you and your group than YOU. Unlike management we care about your voice and concerns, contact us and share your thoughts. Stand beside us is this fight.
