They still don't get it.

Ryan and every other boss might think USW isn’t the right union for us because their next president was part of some organization that opposed Willow or whatever but so what?  Trump used to give donations to the Clinton Foundation and even directly to Hillary Clinton, does that make him a Democrat? The WOA guys, the Montney guys, and thousands of other oil workers don’t have a problem with USW.

Of course the bosses don’t like USW, this is back to the castle analogy. They think USW is difficult to work with because USW wouldn't let management murder us with impunity.

All those other unions the bosses "like working with"? Those are unions running with-in contract companies they hire for specific projects (like pipeline welders run by Houston Pipeline Company), they don't "work with" ConocoPhillips, they work for HPC who works with COP. That's like saying "We won the Superbowl". Ohh? You play for the Eagles? "well... no, but we live in Philly, so its kind of the same thing."

 Let me ask you this- what was more impactful to YOU:  some stupid lobbying group you’ve never heard of putting out some press release no one read about “meh Willow bad”, or ConocoPhillips turning their back on us during COVID and actively enforcing Biden’s vaccine mandate?  Which one had more of an impact on YOU as a slope worker? USW stood up for the guys in WOA. Also, I suppose I could mention it wasn't USW that shoved all the DEI stuff down our throats for the last 5 years.

CEOs and Presidents and their stances on DEI, and politics and congressional whateverz don’t matter to me.  What does matter is how I am treated, how you are treated and who is actually standing up for us.  We KNOW that ConocoPhillips won’t stand up for us, and we know that USW will.  

On a side note-  I was wrong. Looks like Ryan flew up on the Q400… what a man of the people.  LOL.   So leave $5,000 off their jetfuel bill from the last post, hell who knows maybe they were really dialed into the optics of this mess and didn't even fly the corp jet to Anchorage. Ryan's not new to the optics game, he's smooth, I'll give him that.
